About Me…
I believe that authenticity is one of the most valuable things a therapist can bring to the therapeutic relationship, so, in that spirit, I’ll share that it always feel awkward to write these little blurbs about myself! I am an Oregon based mental health therapist specializing in working with people who struggle to feel at home in their own lives, whether that be caused by anxiety, neurodivergence such as autism or ADHD, trauma, depression, or any number of factors - my goal is to support you in building a life worth living (for you! because that looks different for everyone), increase feelings of effectiveness in daily tasks, spending more time with positive emotions, decreasing the impact of negative ones, and just generally feeling more comfortable in your own skin through self understanding and intentional and creative coping skills.
Because I value authenticity, you can expect me to be wearing comfortable clothes like t-shirts and leggings, with ever changing colorful hair, I show up this way because I want to you to feel comfortable showing up however feels best for you too. When I am not working you can probably find me crocheting, watching Bob’s Burgers, and hanging out with my cats.
Clients who I typically work with…
Though I enjoying working with a variety of types of people, some commonalities include - people who describe feeling like there has always been something different about them they couldn’t quite explain, people who are late or self diagnosed with autism and or ADHD, people struggling to keep up with the demands of every day life, feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns. People who may have been described as “very self aware” and yet are still struggling with mental health. People who have felt intimidated by therapy feeling too professional or like they couldn’t ever be themselves in therapy before. LGBTQIA+ folks needing a queer identifying and affirming therapist.
